HONEY

what is

RAW HONEY?

  • ALL of our honey is foraged by our bees, cold extracted and bottled by us, the beekeepers, from Marraweeney, Victoria. Each batch is ‘Single Origin’ foraged by one apiary. This maintains the unique botanical flavours and textures.

  • RAW honey is processed by cold extraction and cold bottling, assuring a premium natural product. This is truly RAW honey.

  • RAW honey naturally crystallises to a smooth and creamy texture. This can happen within weeks of extracting or may take many months depending on the honey variety.

  • We have B-QUAL certification, a HACCP based audit process that certifies our beekeeping and honey bottling practices to the highest standard.

  • We don't use any chemicals or antibiotics in our hives or anywhere else in the production process.

Our honey is 100% Pure Honey - No added anything.
Honey as natural as it comes.

EUCALYPTUS RADIATA

RAW Honey

This honey was produced in the Strathbogie State Forest in North-East Victoria; the forest closest to our home-base in Marraweeney. Eucalyptus Radiata is the botanical name for what's commonly known as the Narrow-leaved Peppermint. Usually we use common names for describing our honey varieties however we have found that the use of the word 'peppermint' might give consumers the idea that it will taste like chewing gum. On the flip-side the word 'Eucalyptus' is associated with the flavour of cough lollies.

Flavour Profile: Deep, bold flavour.

This flavour is typical of eucalyptus honeys produced in the Mountains throughout Eastern Australia.
